And Now a Word From The Sponsor

Welcome to my site and thank you for reading. After many times thinking, if only I had a blog, well-- here we are. This blog will feature writings on a variety of topics from roadside food, to leadership in the fire service; politics; culture- gay, straight, and indifferent, my experiences in Ohio, New York and beyond; and much much more. It's my hope that you will find it interesting and that it stirs at least some thought and discussion. I am certain you wont always agree, but that is what its all about right? Oh and one more thing:

The views expressed on this site are entirely my own. Back From Watertown

Apologies for the lack of posts for the last few days, I was having "family time" in Watertown, NY with my cousin, her husband and their friends.  Many stories to tell, look for those to come shortly in whatever form they take.  Thanks to Danielle, Carl, Gary and everyone for a great time.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to comemmorate the 37th Anniversary of the Tornado Outbreak of April 3 and 4, 1974.  One of the most significant outbreaks of Tornadoes in US History, its signature event was an F5 tornado in Xenia, Ohio, on the afternoon of April 3rd.  Thity-Three lives were lost and over 1000 people were injured in Xenia alone.  (Image from: ohiohistory.org)
